Tools for marketing
SEO (search engine optimisation) is the art of making sure that your business appears near the top of searches, or at least on the first page of results.
As techies, we don't feel qualified to give advice around marketing in general, but we found some gadgetty tools we like, around analysing and improving SEO and other marketing-related activities.

| Validate sitemap | Yandex sitemap validator | Yandex sitemap validator is free but you do need to register. A sitemap becomes more important as your site gets larger, if you only have a handful of pages, consider it optional: search engines will build it for you. Quote from Google support: Using a sitemap doesn't guarantee that all the items in your sitemap will be crawled and indexed [...]. However, in most cases, your site will benefit from having a sitemap, and you'll never be penalized for having one. |
